One of our amazing and determined clients Maple Leaf Foods, came to us to discuss the revival of a website they launched in 2010. The website they wanted us to revive was none other than Republic of Bacon (RoB).When we were presented with the opportunity to work with Maple Leaf Foods, and redevelop such a unique website, we were thrilled with the opportunity and relished the challenge. With Republic of Bacon we were focused with creating an identity for “Republic of Bacon” and create a separate entity from Maple Leaf Foods.

What is Republic of Bacon?

Republic of Bacon is a website with a focus about bacon, and bacon recipes. The content on the website was kept strictly to bacon related topics and recipes. The targets we were set to accomplish was to increase the organic traffic, generate  30% more traffic in the second year, and dominate bacon related keywords.

Without ruining the  story, we did accomplished the goals for Republic of Bacon by using a well developed contest marketing strategy.
